Our rooms

Villa Wäring Bed & Breakfast has four rooms for rent. Two rooms are located on the first floor and two in the cosy attic. The rooms on the first floor have their own bathrooms, while the attic rooms share a bathroom and a separate toilet. All guests have access to a kitchen and generous living areas.

You will find the prices for overnight stays in each room below. Breakfast can be pre-ordered for SEK 130 per person (half price for children under 12), but if you prefer to prepare your own breakfast, that option is also available. Free Wi-Fi is of course available, and iron, hairdryer, outdoor grill, umbrellas, and board games can be borrowed. Bicycles are available for rent for SEK 50 per day.

Accessibility

To the first floor there is an external staircase with eight steps. On this floor are the two larger bedrooms together with the breakfast room, kitchen, and living areas. There are two more steep stairs to climb to the rooms in the attic, which is good to take into account when booking these.

Henning Holmberg

The room immediately on the left when you enter Villa Wäring’s hall is named after the man who had the house built in 1913 and was actually also his office once upon a time. From the east-facing window, you see the disputed statue With the handbag as a weapon and you can also keep track of who comes through the gate. This room is approximately 17 square meters in size and furnished with a double bed (160 cm), two armchairs with accompanying table, desk, and a sturdy wardrobe. The room is equipped with a private bathroom with toilet and shower. You also have access to the fully equipped kitchen and here you live wall to wall with the cosy drawing room, which is the centre of the house.

Lovisa Holmberg

The second guest room on the first floor is named after Henning’s wife Lovisa. From the window you look out towards the villa’s garden and the Southern cemetery, a deserted cemetery from the 17th century, classified as an ancient monument. The room measures approximately 18 square meters and here you have access to your own bathroom with toilet and shower. The furniture consists of a double bed (160 cm), two armchairs with accompanying table, desk, and wardrobe. Here on the first floor, as a guest, you have access to the fully equipped kitchen and the adjoining drawing room.

Adina Sand

At the far end of the attic, you will find this cosy family room which is named after the artist and drawing teacher who was a tenant in the house over a hundred years ago. From the window you can see, among other things, the park Pilhagen and the magnificent Rosenfred School, where Henning Holmberg and Adina Sand were colleagues. The room is about 22 square meters, and the furniture consists of a double bed (160 cm), a 120 cm bed, sofa set, desk, wardrobe, and a well-stocked bookshelf. You share a bathroom with toilet, shower, and bathtub as well as a separate toilet with the second attic room Gottfrid Ljunggren. Here in the attic, you also have shared access to a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, and kitchen equipment. Please note that there are steep stairs up to this third-floor room.

Gottfrid Ljunggren

This our smallest and perhaps cosiest room is named after the architect behind Villa Wäring and is located under the house’s big arched dormer towards the south. Here you must look out for the ceiling beams and crouch down to look out the window. Diagonally across the street is the beautiful Villa Heijl and you can also glimpse the sea with a little effort. The room is approximately 14 square meters in size and furnished with a double bed (160 cm), two armchairs with accompanying table, desk, and chest of drawers. When you stay here, you share a bathroom with toilet, shower, and bathtub as well as a separate toilet with the adjacent room Adina Sand. Here in the attic, there is also a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, and kitchen equipment. Please note that there are steep stairs up to this third-floor room.
